In the Middle Ages, owned by the ancient Croatian noble family of Šubić, later in the hands of the Šibenik bishopric and Šibenik nobility, Pirovac with its beautiful beaches has always been a privileged place for vacation, a place of pleasant living.

Pirovac is a lively place that nature has endowed by placing it on the coast between the sea and Lake Vrana. It is located in a bay characterized by the unusual fact that the sea temperature in it is 4 degrees higher than the rest of the Adriatic Sea. Mild climate prevails in this area, which ensures a nice warm summer and mild winters. The coast is characterized by numerous and indented bays with clean beaches with stones and gravel, and islands in whose archipelago the national park ‘Kornati’ is located.

This place will give you an opportunity to explore hidden beauties by yourself. Walking through beautiful nature, cycling, sports and recreational activities, sailing, diving, visiting historical and cultural heritage, tasting Dalmatian specialties… There are numerous possibilities for a pleasant vacation and enjoyment. Pirovac can boast of numerous landmarks that reflect the past times when this area was an important center of the Templars. The old part of the town on the coast, with medieval walls and the ‘Gates of the Village,’ is one of the most interesting symbols of Pirovac and a motive for your camera. Get to know the old town core, peek into hidden stone alleys called ‘kale’ that have remained a trace of past centuries.

Lolić beach
“The main beach ‘Lolić’ has been receiving the Blue Flag for many years, which confirms that the beach meets the criteria of sea quality, cleanliness, and beach facilities.” The beach is pebbly on the southwest side, while the most interesting part of the beach, the middle part, is sandy with a shallow area, making it ideal for children. For those who like to hide from the sun, there is plenty of shade under the pine trees. Also, on the beach there is a beautiful beach bar called ‘West’ with an excellent selection of refreshing drinks and cocktails, where you can cool off from the heat and enhance your stay on the beach.
Hotel 'Miran' beach

Next to Lolic beach, there is another beach, the beach of Hotel Miran, which is 1 km long and stretches from the town center to the Vrilo bay. This is a beach for those who are looking for a little peace and quiet.

STARINE beach

On the southeast coast, the beach called “Starine” is located more than one kilometer away and stretches from the center to the Vrilo bay. The beach is adapted for those who seek a more peaceful atmosphere.

River Krka
National Park Krka is located in Šibenik-Knin County and covers 109 km² of the most beautiful parts of the Krka River and the lower course of the Čikola River. A national park is a large and primarily unaltered area of exceptional natural value, which includes one or more preserved or slightly altered ecosystems. The purpose of the park is primarily to serve science, culture, education, and recreation, and tourist activities have also been introduced for its visitors. Including the floodplain at the mouth of the river, the Krka river is 72.5 km long, making it the 22nd longest river in Croatia. It rises at the foot of the Dinara mountain, 2.5 km northeast of Knin. With its seven waterfalls and a total drop in altitude of 242 meters, the Krka river is a natural and karstic phenomenon. The travertine waterfalls of the Krka river are the fundamental phenomenon of this river.
N.P. Kornati

Kornati have between 2600 and 2700 hours of sunshine per year. Daily insolation is around 4 hours in winter and 11 hours in summer. The ultraviolet radiation on Kornati is only about 5% of the total solar radiation.

The Kornati National Park is often referred to as a “nautical paradise” in tourist publications. Indeed, in a “slalom” navigation through 89 unforgettable islands, islets and reefs in the Kornati National Park, you can see unique beauties of the Kornati islands, including the beautiful coast and clean sea.

A valid ticket is required for navigation through the national park.

The Northern Velebit National Park is recognizable for its preserved biological diversity, richness of natural phenomena, and the experience of untouched wilderness. This is a space for acquiring new experiences and a base for the sustainable development of surrounding local communities, based on traditional customs.

The diversity of karst phenomena, as well as plant and animal life, are only a part of the unique picture of this natural complex. Thanks to its geographical position, the karst relief of limestone and some sedimentary rocks is directly influenced by three climates: Mediterranean, continental, and alpine.

VRANSKO lake
Vransko Lake is the largest natural lake in Croatia. It is a lake that is actually a karst field filled with water and a rare example of a cryptodepression. The park is home to about 235 species of birds, of which 102 breed (mostly water birds), while the rest of the lake serves as a resting place during migration or wintering.

According to estimates, between 20,000 and 200,000 birds stay in the park during the autumn migration. he park’s special feature is its rich fish fauna and developed sports-fishing tourism. The dominant feature of the park is a special ornithological reserve, nearly untouched natural habitats of marshland birds, a rare marsh system, great biological diversity, exceptional scientific and ecological value.
N.P. Kornati
The Velebit Nature Park is the most important endemic center of flora and terrestrial fauna in Croatia.

The Velebit degenia (Degenia velebitica), Croatian rock-cress (Arabis croatica), Croatian bellflower (Edraianthus graminifolius var. croaticus), Hugel’s shargreen (Aulopyge hugeli), long-legged bat (Myotis capaccinii), and wolf (Canis lupus) are just some of the best-known endemic and rare species found in the park, which is full of various karst phenomena.
